Editorial and product methodology | GrowBuckets

How GrowBuckets works

Separate the facts, the fit, and the link.

A useful product guide should make clear what came from a source, what is editorial judgment, and what remains unknown.

1. Start with the operating question

Guides begin with the root zone, environment, routine, and failure points. Product selection comes after the reader can recognize the relevant tradeoffs.

2. Preserve merchant facts as source facts

Names, included components, specifications, pricing, and availability require attributable source support. Unknown fields stay unknown instead of being filled by inference.

3. Keep source and affiliate URLs separate

The clean merchant URL supports audit history. The supplied affiliate URL supports the purchase action. GrowBuckets does not guess or manufacture tracking parameters.

4. Require local, approved public media

Merchant media under consideration stays private. A product that requires an image cannot publish until an approved local file exists and passes media checks.

5. Document editorial fit

A product belongs in a guide only when there is a reader-centered reason for the placement. Conversion potential by itself is not an editorial reason.
